Next show - Join us for the opening.
Brian Hitselberger has curated another amazing show with his students. We really love this annual collaboration and seeing what the students put together.
RISO REVOLUTION, an exhibition of Risograph prints created by the Fall 2024 Computers In Art class in the Art + Design Department of Purdue University.
As part of a class assignment, the 16 artists whose work is on view in this exhibition created digital imagery through a variety of techniques and processes. Following this design process, students utilized the Purdue Knowledge Lab to print their work on a SF 5130 Risograph machine. The results are the 16 prints on view in RISO REVOLUTION.
The title of this exhibition refers to the theme of the prints themselves: for this project, all 16 artists in the Computers in Art class created imagery related in some way to the theme of “cycles.”
In addition to this class portfolio of student work, Lafayette-based artist and Knowledge Lab manager Patricia Swanson has created a suite of large-scale riso installations, exploring “cycles” within a body of her nature photography collected over many years.
The artists included in this exhibition are Osighe Akpeokhai, Isabel Baron, Joanna Cai, Emily Driscoll, Robyn Fleming, Camila Flores-Sanchez, Molly Greer, Claire Kim, Tyler Madlem, Sarah Nicholson, Nilayah Peter, Glo Rudolph, Richard Salazar, Solomon Swan, Kennedy Wiedeman, and Chase McCauley Wilson.
