I started painting in 2007 with the encouragement and direction of a friend who was a lifelong artist. Taking oil painting for 2 years from a retired art teacher, Jack Jordan and then joining the 3 local art associations has been the basis of art education for me. I've taken many classes and workshops offered through these associations. In 2021 I joined the Creative Vision Program which will be a

lifelong continuation of experimentation and growth, and belonging to a community of other artists around the world. For me art is an extension of every day life, capturing moments in time that I want to keep forever in the forefront of my mind.

I am drawn to the quiet, meaningful moments that often go unnoticed—the gentle sway of a palm tree in the breeze, sunlight dancing across the water, or the simple joy on a little girl’s face as she licks her ice cream cone. These small, fleeting experiences are where I find the heart of my work.

Through my paintings, I capture people and places from around the world, revealing both our rich diversity and the beautiful threads of sameness that connect us all. No matter where we are, there are shared emotions—joy, reflection, love—that transcend culture and geography.

Many of my collectors tell me they are drawn to my work because it stirs something personal within them. It may bring back a cherished memory, reflect a deeper intention, or echo a feeling they’ve carried quietly inside. Above all, they describe my work as uplifting—a reminder of life’s gentle beauty, meaningful connections, and the special moments that shape who we are.

My hope is that as you explore my art, you too will discover a connection—something that speaks to you and becomes a part of your everyday life.
