"Andy Newton, J.D., is a Portland-area cryptid that was picked up by intergalactic aliens and dropped in La Grande in mid-2025. He is an accomplished speaker in the realm of tropical fish husbandry, having given talks at local aquarium society meetings across the states of Oregon and California, as well as at the national American Cichlid Association annual convention in Louisville in 2022. His primary method of creation is crossing the various North American Pitcher Plants and selecting the various patterns and colors that come alongside a batch of seedlings.
Andy Newton makes art. Sometimes he likes the art he makes, and it is usually made in his partner's basement. With over two months of experience, few have referred to him as an "experienced ceramicist." He has received rave reviews of his work by few, including his mother, who said: "Wow, you made this? Interesting." and his partner's mother, who coincidentally also said "Wow, you made this? Interesting."'
