🕊️ Today, we honor Black heritage, resilience, and the vital stories that shape our culture. Looking out from Artworks Gallery, we are reminded of this legacy year-round through the stunning downtown mural honoring Howard County's own Tuskegee Airmen.

This masterpiece by Malcom Byers beautifully displays our local history, celebrating Black excellence and bravery. We invite you to stop by, take in the view, and join us in honoring this day of freedom. Happy Juneteenth! ✨

🎉🏆Congratulations to Jim Wheeler of The Sometimes Monthly Photo Group, winner of the People's Choice Award at our 100 & Still Standing exhibition! 🌟

Artworks Gallery is getting the facade updated! We thank the Community Foundation Serving Howard, Clinton & Carroll Counties for making this possible! We are excited to see how it comes along! They presented the check at the Howard County Community Show last fall, on October 27, 2025. We are now doing updates. We are thankful for the Community Foundation supporting the arts in our community. We hope to enjoy this space for many more centuries to come! 💫 Kokomo Downtown District Artist Alley

I’ve said many times that the simple form of a bowl holds everything I find beautiful in pottery. When I remember to step aside and let the Universe — the elements of Earth, Air, and Fire — take over, something magical happens. A piece emerges on the other side of perfection… a bowl that isn’t quite symmetrical, a form that resisted every intention my hands had at the wheel.

I’m grateful that beauty isn’t measured by man’s idea of perfection, but by what reveals itself when creativity is allowed to wander. Once again, clay is feeding my soul. It is a healing process — steady, humbling, and deeply restorative.
