The Holden Arboretum The Holden Arboretum is a spectacular living museum on 3,500+ acres 25 minutes east of Cleveland.

Covering over 3,600 acres, The Holden Arboretum is a living museum that promotes the importance of trees and woody plants. Visitors can walk through themed public gardens and explore over 20 miles of hiking trails. Picnic areas are available and a children's play area will keep the little ones entertained as they reconnect with nature. Tours and guided hikes are available and dogs on leashes are welcome. We envision a Northeast Ohio where trees, forests and gardens provide maximum ecological and social benefits to our communities. To that end our programs and activities promote growing trees and communities, conserving native forests and engaging children with nature.

Who's ready to see skeletons at sunset?!💀🍂

Join us on Friday, October 30 from 5:15-7:15pm for Skeleton Stroll & Sunset, an exclusive evening of art fall beauty, and sunset views.🌅

Your evening will begin with a walk-through Skeleton Grove, where select artists will be present to share insights on their creative processes. After exploring the grove, the group will continue to the Kalberer Emergent Tower to enjoy sweeping views of the Arboretum landscape as the sun sets.

🍂 Peak fall color is here, and this is your sign to visit the Holden Arboretum!📸

Make the most of the season with Skeleton Saturday this weekend! Take in the vibrant fall foliage, explore Skeleton Grove and capture this this year's color with a FREE family photo from 11am–2pm. It’s the perfect excuse to get everyone together for a fall day outdoors!

Here’s what else is happening from 10am–3pm:
🌮 Grab a bite from Barrio or Off the Griddle food trucks
💀 Meet two Skeleton Grove artists from 10am–noon
🍁 Test your tree and leaf ID skills with our Leaf Trail guide
🚋 Take a 45-minute tram tour (additional fee)

🌿 Get hands-on with invasive species management!

Join the Working Woods Hub and the Holden Conservation Department on Saturday, October 17, from 9:30 a.m.–12 p.m. for a workshop all about invasive species management. Build basic skills in identifying non-native plant species, practice common treatment techniques including foliar spray and cut stump treatment, and tour invasive treatment demonstrations to see firsthand the difference invasive management can make!
