Museum volunteers recently restored this 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa Fitch Sprint, and visitors often ask about the stickers on the front bumper.

Those stickers served an important purpose, they were used for military identification.

Preserving the Past...For the HOLIDAYS! 🎄

The Operation Food Search MetroMarket Bus has traveled more than one million miles and served over 100,000 families in our community. Now, this special piece of transportation history is getting ready for a new holiday tradition at The National Museum of Transportation.

We’re renovating the inside of the bus so Santa can visit with young believers while helping collect canned goods for local food pantries. ❤️

This month, The National Museum of Transportation’s Library & Archives is highlighting Andrew “Dutch Andy” Ospring (1854–1921) and a remarkable piece of railroad history connected to his record-setting run.

On November 10, 1905, Ospring made the fastest run from Terre Haute to St. Louis taking only two hours and forty-eight minutes.
