Salt River Band closed out the 22nd season of Summer on the Square Friday evening. They were fantastic and the audience loved them. This has been a great season of performances all summer long, which began with Keota and ended with the Salt River Band but included ten other amazing bands performing on the Adair county courthouse lawn or at Club One on those rainy evenings.

Did you know Summer on the Square was created to support local businesses and encourage people to come downtown on a Friday evening. This is why we don't have the food trucks. We are supporting the local restaurants in the downtown area with Summer on the Square.

We want to thank everyone who came down and listened to the music. We also want to thank Chade and Craig Shorten who graciously provided our rain location, sometimes on short notice. We also want to thank all our sponsors including the Missouri Arts Council, City of Kirksville/Tourism, Du K*m Inn, Maxwells, Lovegreens, Kirksville Motors and NEMR. This series would not be possible without their support.

We will see you back downtown at the 52nd Red Barn Arts and Crafts Festival, another great family friendly event on Saturday, September 19th!
