Hello everyone. We had someone bring these pictures in to us at the History Center hoping we could help identify them. Unfortunately, we couldn’t, and are hoping someone out there can. We believe they are from the Luxemburg area, but that is not 100% certain. Please let us know if you know who they would be. Thank you!!!

The History Center will be closed Friday, April 3, 2026, for Good Friday. Happy Easter everyone!!!

Thank you Hooray For Hollywood!!

Hooray for Hollywood’s Dennis Shimanek presented a check to Deb Henninger (Treasurer) & Richard Dorner (President) of the Kewaunee County Historical Society. The donation will be used to upgrade the aging shelving, which is shown in the background. 📚

While the History Center is not open during this blizzard, we have Grandma and Grandpa standing by, keeping everything warm and toasty. We are still looking for name suggestions for these two. Please take a moment during the storm to suggest some historic, Kewaunee County names in the comments below. Thank you!!

Hello everyone. The Kewaunee County Historical Society and the Kewaunee County Jail Museum are proud to introduce some new faces. For now, we are calling them Grandma and Grandpa. There will be more on that in a moment. You will see them around both of our pages, in posters, in advertising, and maybe even some merchandise. We are calling them our Heritage Ambassadors. They do need names!! If you have any suggestions, please comment below. We are looking for names that are related to Kewaunee County History. We will choose a name in a week or two and officially unveil them. We look forward to working with our two new faces. Stay tuned!

Hello everyone. I have still not received a response from Facebook regarding the loss of access to the Kewaunee County Jail Museum and The Kewaunee County Historical Society pages. So, I thought what if we all make some noise. Could you please go to each of the pages and either "Report the Page" or "Help the Page". Maybe if enough people start reporting a problem with the page, Facebook will take notice. The photo shows you where to click when you get to the page. Thank you!
