For more than 32 years the gallery has built a national reputation for presenting energetic exhibition schedule Gail Severn Gallery represents young, mid career and established artists working in all media. For more than 35 years the gallery has built a national reputation for presenting energetic exhibition schedules, participating in international art fairs, facilitating museum exhibitions, and publishing books and catalogs for our artists. Our building houses 4 distinct exhibition spaces in more than 8,000 square feet, combined with an outdoor sculpture court. In addition, the gallery has a 2-acre sculpture garden that provides a variety of unique environments for viewing intimate and large-scale sculpture including fountains and site specific installations, which change on a seasonal basis. Sun Valley Idaho's resort community brings together knowledgeable and beginning collectors in a warm and inviting setting where they can view artists from throughout the United States as well as Europe, Asia and Central and South America. The Gail Severn Gallery's clients, artists and staff benefit from this unique and rich environment that fosters long term relationships.

Excited for the newest delivery of paintings by the talented Berkeley Hoerr

‘Graze’ oil on panel 42” x 68” is here just in time for Trailing of the Sheep Festival.

The gallery will be open over the weekend so be sure to stop in and see the new pieces by Berkeley and many others!

“My work isn’t just physical layers, it is historical layers. To me it is the reversal of excavation.

Maybe we think that life is not just today - not just now. In the Chinese language, we don’t have a tense change; I meet you now, I meet you yesterday, I meet you 30 years ago.

I think the long lasting action is also part of it. The past never becomes the past, you always carry it with you. Your background is not hollow when you excavate into it.

There are many layers, which is what history is all about.”
