Can I count on your support for critical lung cancer research that can help others, in memory of my brother Dan?
Dear Friends of Turned Woodcrafts
May 2023 I lost my brother Dan "biking is life" Gerecht to nonsmoker's lung cancer, only weeks after his diagnosis. He was just 64 years young and biked thousands of miles a year.
In his memory Susan and I, Liana and her husband Aaron and six friends will each ride up to 150 miles on Cape Cod Sept. 27-29 with the American Lung Association to raise funds to fight lung cancer--the leading cause of cancer deaths in this country. Nonsmoker lung cancer cases are also increasing and the cause is unknown.
All donations of $125 or more will be matched by us, but any amount is greatly appreciated, as funding for lung disease research has been sharply cut by Congress this year!
Last year we were easily the top fundraiser and our two-year goal is raising $50,000. With your help we will make it, and I know Dan would be so pleased to know so many people care.
