What kind of conference do you want to help create?

The Confluence 2027 Round 1 Call for Proposals is open. SGCI members are invited to propose programming that brings new conversations, processes, questions, formats, and collaborations into the conference.

Think beyond what you have seen before. Propose a panel, INKubator, demonstration, themed portfolio exchange, pop-up exhibition, mobile event, public-facing project, participatory format, or something outside the box.

Confluence 2027 will be shaped by what members imagine, propose, and organize.

Round 1 proposals are due July 31, 2026.

Join SGCI in June! Now is a great time to join our organization or renew your membership. Membership gets you access to all of our virtual programming and our directory of over 3500 international printmakers and print enthusiasts. You can connect now with your print peers around the world! 

We’re also gearing up for Confluence, the 2027 conference in Pittsburgh. The Open Call for conference proposals is live now through July 31st. If you have an idea, you must be a member in good standing to submit. 

Don’t forget, there are now discounted two year memberships at many levels. Join or upgrade at these levels now and you won’t have to think about it again until after the conference! For more information go to the Membership section of the SGCI website.

We are thrilled to announce a prestigious new partnership with the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice! Since 1969, the Scuola has been a global beacon for the production and promotion of printmaking.

In a gesture of incredible generosity, the Scuola is offering an annual one-month residency during the month of September, exclusively for one SGCI member in good standing. Do you want to be that lucky member? A raffle will determine the winner. You can purchase raffle entries to the drawing below.

Entries will be accepted from April 30 through June 30, 2026. A winner will be drawn and alerted with the good news July 1, 2026.

✅ Extended Studio Access: Printmaking facilities in the heart of Venice available from 8:30am to 8:30pm.

✅ Global Connection: Engage with members of the Boston Printmakers and the Society of British Painter-Printmakers.

✅ Support: To make this dream a reality, we are holding a Raffle! Purchase your $10 entry tickets to be entered into the random drawing. You may buy as many entries as you wish. Funds raised go directly to the winner to assist with transportation and housing.
