Founded in 1939, we have grown into the largest electric railway museum in the world. Seashore Trolley Museum's Bus Department is responsible for preserving, restoring, maintaining, and curating our 80+ bus and trolley bus collection, representing all decades from across the country and the world. The department is run by volunteers, and we are always looking for more to join our team! Message us

Happy Hump Day!

Here is a look back to Transit Day 2009 when we hosted a trackless trolley parade with every trackless coach we could get up and running at the time. We had a lot of help from a group of trackless trolley experts from Switzerland and with their help we were able to do something never before done at the museum!

We hope to do something like this again in the future when our roadways are completely paved and the overhead catenary wire gets hung back up!

While we were working on spring cleaning last Sunday, we took a peek at our 1987 VIP Charter Coaches Orion 1 #297.

At some point during this year’s season, this bus and everything else sitting adjacent to the Riverside carbarn will be moved to new locations on the museum campus in anticipation of the demolition of the current building and the construction of the much larger new one!

Here are a few more views from around the back of the museum campus from last weekend.
