Join the To***co Farm Life Museum on Saturday, November 7th from 10am-3pm for games, hands-on activities, music, and more! Once again, To***co Farm Life Museum staff are on the move! Grayson and Sarah travelled one county north for the Nash County 4-H Ag Heritage Days. Over two days, we shared early 20th century farming history with 24 fourth grade classes!

Thank you to the 4H team and all the schools that came out to do some hands-on history!

We had a great time sharing some hands-on agricultural history at the Davie Farm Fest this past Saturday, and we are on the move again! Spy us at our booth at the Wilson County Fair in Exhibit Hall A through this week. Come get a farm animal sticker and say hello!

Join us for the September Sewing Saturday program this weekend from 10am-2pm! Our friends from Duke Homestead State Historic Site will be sharing their expertise in historic dress and showing off some early-20th century sewing machines. No prior knowledge necessary, come learn with us!

As a new year of teaching gets underway — whether it’s in a traditional classroom, early college, homeschool or year-round setting — To***co Farm Life Museum is here to support your curriculum with fun, free, and educational opportunities for your students.
Teachers and administrators can schedule free field trips to the museum and grounds and enjoy three of our six available educational programs during the visit: Agriculture in North Carolina: How Things Grow; Agriculture in North Carolina: Curing To***co; Hands-on History: Object Investigation; Hands-on History: Games and Play; Life on a Farm: Sharecropping; and People and Places: Community Together.

Our outreach programming are free as well, and we encourage teachers to contact us so we can tailor the experience to their students’ needs.
