I was raised in Kaysville, and am the daughter of Ray and Ruth Sabin. I attended Burton Elementary, Kaysville Jr. After graduating from Davis High School, I earned my Degree in Accounting from Stevens Henagar College. That same year I married Kevin Lee and we have been happily married for over 30 years. I have served on the council for the last 3 ½ years and have enjoyed getting to know so many of
the citizens who make this community what it is, beautiful, safe, and filled with wonderful people who engage in daily acts of service. I have lived in Kaysville most of my life and understand our community and it’s needs. As a member of the City Council I am involved with the following:
- Power Department and serving on the Power Commission
- Yard and Garden Committee
- Davis County Library Liaison
- Library Endowment Fund,
- Healthy Kaysville Committee
- Kaysville Museum Committee
- Chamber of Commerce Representative
- Kaysville Business Alliance
I have also served as a county delegate, a volunteer at the state convention and worked with Rep. Julie Fisher’s campaign. I have volunteered for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Scouting and the local schools and am active in my church. In addition, my husband and I have owned and operated a successful transportation business. We have 4 sons and two daughters-in-law, (soon to have three), one grandchild and another on the way! My oldest son, Jourdan, is currently training to become a pilot for the Air National Guard in SLC. Trevor is successful in sales; Dallas is attending WSU and training to be a pilot, while Dillon, our youngest, will return from serving his mission in Guatemala in August. “Our Heritage, Our Town, Let’s Keep it Strong
I would appreciate the opportunity to continue serving on the Kaysville City Council. As Kaysville continues to expand and grow it is more important than ever to have people on the City Council looking out for your best interests. Our citizens need someone who is willing to vote against taxes hikes, support a free market and stand up for conservative values and principles. I believe in smaller government and less intrusion in our lives. I will work to continue transparency for the citizens of Kaysville. If these principles are important to you as well I would appreciate your support! Following, is a list of several key areas where I will continue to focus my efforts:
1. Keeping taxes and fees low.
2. Public Safety. As Kaysville grows, insure we keep our community safe and secure.
3. Infrastructure. I will continue to support putting more funds towards all infrastructure improvements especially our roads, making sure that your tax money is working for YOU.
4. Transparency. All meetings should be open to the public.
5. Listen to your voices and concerns to work together for solutions. Together, with your valued support and my pledge to continue working tirelessly on your behalf, I am confident that Kaysville City’s brightest and best days are ahead. As we overcome current obstacles and plan for the future with principle and purpose, may we take pride in our beautiful city, enjoying each success and improvement, comfortable in the knowledge that Kaysville is, and always will be, the most wonderful place to call home.
