Did you know that The Katonah Historical Museum holds a Collection of 28 letters sent by Harvey J. Avery (born in Katonah in 1889) to his mother, Mrs. Gideon H. Avery? Harvey was a survivor of the Troopship Tuscania which was torpedoed and sunk by a German U-boat off the coast of Ireland on Feb. 5, 1918.
