Happy Bithday J.C. Hall! Today we are Celebrating the Birthday of our founder, Mr J.C. Hall. Over 116 years ago a young J.C. Hall made his way from David City Nebraska to Kansas City to form Hall Brothers and turn it into what Hallmark is today! J.C. Hall once said "Time is everything. Anything you want, anything you accomplish – pleasure, success, fortune – is measured in time". Hallmark's 116 years of history are a testament to J.C. Hall's dedication to this exact philosophy.

Today is the perfect reminder that you don’t need a special occasion to make someone smile. Hallmark’s Just Because card line was created to celebrate life’s little moments and inspire random acts of kindness, encouragement, love, and gratitude all year long.

Here’s a fun fact to kick off the school year: Did you know the school buildings in the PEANUTS® comic strips could think and communicate?

One of the sweetest connections was between Sally Brown and her school building — she’d lean against it, and it would respond with comforting thought bubbles. Their friendship lasted until the original building crumbled in 1976 (RIP, wise old walls), but don’t
worry — the next school could think too!

This month's visitor spotlight goes out to Rafael from San Antonio Texas. He came to the Visitors Center with a special mission: finding the perfect Keepsake Ornament for his sister. Every year, the two exchange ornaments as a cherished tradition, creating memories that last a lifetime. Before leaving Rafael carefully selected 2 ornaments. A 2026 Keepsake Ornament and a limited-edition Hallmark Visitors Center 40th Anniversary crown ornament, one that is exclusive to the Visitors Center. Rafael's story is a wonderful reminder that thoughtful gifts, big or small, help celebrate the connections that matter most.
