The stories we inherit are not always the full truth.
As new voices rise—even when they shake the legacies we were taught to honor—we must listen.

The recent allegations shared by Dolores Huerta about Cesar Chavez remind us of something deeper than history—
they remind us of the courage it takes to speak.

At Monarca Art Space, we are a women-owned, women-dreamed, women-powered space.
And we stand together.

We believe women.
Not only when it is easy, but especially when it is uncomfortable—
when it challenges power,
from presidents to local leaders to the people within our own homes.

There will come a day when every woman lays down her silence—
no longer protecting the one who harmed her,
whether by word or by hand.

And in that unshielded light,
they will finally face
the consequences
of a woman who chose herself.

This Valentine’s Day, let’s celebrate love beyond romance.
Let’s celebrate neighbors checking in, families gathering, friends supporting dreams, artists inspiring hearts, and community choosing connection over division.

Love is not just a feeling.
It’s an action.
It’s presence.
It’s choosing each other again and again.

In times when the world feels heavy, love is still the answer.

Que el amor nos una como comunidad.
Con cariño, siempre. ❤️

That halftime performance felt like a prayer for unity.
A child on stage—not just a child, but a reflection of his younger self—standing among the flags of our Latin countries, carrying memory, ancestry, and belonging.
¡Celebrando a todo Latinoamérica! THE ONLY THING MORE POWERFUL THAN HATE IS LOVE 🫶🏾🦋

Martin Luther King Jr. did not speak only as an individual—he spoke as part of a people, a movement, a community in motion.

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
— Martin Luther King Jr.

Today, that message lives on through us.

When immigrant communities are targeted, when fear is used as a tool, when ICE raids tear families apart, it is not just their safety at risk. If one group is unsafe, we are all unsafe.

Monarca Art Space, we believe protection starts with community. With showing up for one another. With sharing knowledge, resources, and care. With refusing to let any neighbor stand alone.

This is not about one face or one name.
This is about us.

We stand together. We protect each other. We move forward as a community. ✊🏾🦋

As we step into a new year, we want to pause and say thank you.
The past three years have been filled with growth, learning, creativity, and—most importantly—community.

Monarca Art Space was never just a building. It has always been a collective of artists, students, vendors, collaborators, and supporters who believe in art as a universal language.

As we move into this next chapter, our focus is on building what lasts—continuing our classes, pop-ups, collaborations, and storytelling.

Thank you for walking with us.
We’re not done. We’re just becoming more intentional.

Here’s to 2026 🤍
Con cariño,
Monarca Art Space
