We are deeply saddened by the passing of one of our dedicated Kalona Historical Society Board members. Over the years, he gave countless hours to the Village, always willing to help wherever he was needed. His hard work, care, and commitment have left a lasting mark on a place that meant so much to him.
For those of us who had the privilege of serving alongside him, we will remember much more than the work he accomplished. We’ll remember the conversations, the laughs, the time spent together, and the friendship that came along with it.
There are pieces of him throughout this Village, and because of that, his legacy will continue to live on here.
We are grateful for everything he gave to the Kalona Historical Society and even more grateful for the time we were able to share with him.
From all of us on the Board, our deepest condolences and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. He will be greatly missed. 🤍🪽
