DuBignon Cottage used to be taller?

Built in 1884, the cottage originally featured an English basement for cellar and storage space, raising the first floor several steps higher. In 1896, the Jekyll Island Club moved the cottage to make room for Sans Souci, and the English basement was removed in the process.
