2026 Freedom Art Contest
Announcing our Final Top Winner!

Congratulations to Danielle Snow for this incredible piece! Please take a moment to read about her inspiring Grandpa below!

Congratulations to Top Honors Winner Danielle Snow!

Grandpa
By Danielle Snow

“My grandfather passed away last August at the remarkable age of 101. He was one of the few remaining World War II veterans, and had the privilege of witnessing his funeral with full military honors. It was an incredibly moving experience.

To me, my grandpa represents freedom. He fought to protect the freedoms and rights that we enjoy today, and his service and sacrifice are part of the legacy he leaves behind. I feel truly blessed to have had him in my life and to have learned from his strength, character, and dedication.

This drawing was created from a photograph of Edmund "Ed" B. Olson at age 20. The original photograph was taken in 1944, capturing a young man whose courage and service would help shape the lives of future generations.”

Free at Last
By Henlee Snow

“I was inspired by Purvis Young and how he used found materials. I also liked how he made frames for some of his artwork. My art symbolizes freedom because a bird being let out of its cage is going into the nature where they belong, and I call that freedom.”
