July 21, 2026 - Janesville GM Plant Managers Reunite
JANESVILLE — Many of the men gathered on the lower level of the Rock County Historical Society’s Visitor Center in Janesville had not seen one another in many years.
The reunion brought together former Janesville General Motors plant managers and supervisors who were part of the plant’s history surrounding a major GM milestone—the production of General Motors’ 100 millionth vehicle in 1967.
More than half a century later, the group had the opportunity to reconnect, reminisce about their years at the Janesville plant, and once again see the historic 100 millionth GM vehicle they had helped send off the assembly line.

The gathering was more than a reunion of former coworkers—it was a reunion with an important piece of Janesville’s General Motors history, nearly six decades after they helped make it.
