Look who JAC Exhibition Director Karen Conway ran into at one of the many satellite exhibitions at the Venice Biennale—Coral Woodbury!

Coral .woodbury is currently in Venice for an artist residency, but before then she’s exhibited extensively at JAC in “Blanc de Blanc”, “Beyond the Canvas”, “Book as Muse” and many other exhibits over the years.

Slide 3 and 4 show “Untitled (Gwen John & Rodin)” by Woodbury, currently available for sale in JAC’s FlatFile—check it out online or at JAC. Woodbury’s work is in the collection of New Hall Art, Cambridge University, among numerous other institutions.

Karen and Coral are visiting Joseph Kosuth “The-exchange-value-of-language-has-fallen-to-zero” at Casa dei Tre Oci (Berggruen Institute Europe).

Fun fact: Joseph Kosuth was in Conway‘s “WORD: Text in Contemporary Art” exhibition in 2017 at JAC. All of Kosuth’s art in that exhibit was sold, and then donated to the Columbus Museum of Art, Ohio.

Shipwrecks, long-lost twins, and a whole lot of mistaken identity—Gamm on the Go brings a fast-paced, abridged take on one of Shakespeare’s earliest comedies, “The Comedy of Errors.” Both funny and a little tender, the performance moves through themes of separation and reunion with a contemporary twist. Stick around after for a conversation about the show and how theatre creates space for connection.
