🖤❤️💚 Happy Juneteenth! 💚❤️🖤

Today, we honor Juneteenth, the day freedom finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, resilience, culture, and the enduring contributions of African Americans throughout our nation’s history. It is also a time for reflection, education, and unity as we continue to learn from the past and build a brighter future together.

As we commemorate this historic day, we invite our community to honor the stories, achievements, and sacrifices of those who paved the way for future generations.

“Freedom is never given; it is won.” — A. Philip Randolph

May we continue to celebrate, educate, and inspire.

🖤❤️💚✨ Happy Juneteenth from all of us at The Rhoda Martin Cultural Heritage Center ✨🖤❤️💚
