Amador County Model Railroad Museum We are the Amador County Model Railroad Museum, to preserve our rich railroad history in a modeling aspect. Come on out and see our display.

of our many goals is to bring youth into the hobby of model railroading. Our museum is open for both men and women boy's and girls, young and old. We are the Amador County Model Railroad Museum, we preserve our rich railroad history, as well as, the mining and logging history in a scale model display. Showcasing the Amador Central Railroad as it once was from the 80's to the 90's the last great 20 years of the AMC.

Greetings everyone,

Our museum is sadly closing today 6-28-26 at 5:00PM. PST But we will not be gone for good, were just looking for a new location a few places were looking into, and were hoping to open back up soon. Everything in our store needs to go so best offer on it all. the store will remain open every weekend till the end of July. The train layout will be taken down tomorrow afternoon so it's ready to move into storage for a short period as we will open back soon.

If anyone has a building we can move into 30' x 30' would be nice.

We opened in our current location to the kindness and generosity of the late Stanley Lukowicz, who stated (I want the trains in Jackson) Stanly himself never had the joy as a child of playing with a toy train, that was till we opened up, He ran the trains on our layout with a mile wide smile and joy. He stated this is the best fun I have ever had.

Our museum goals is just that family based fun for all ages. If anyone out there can help us out please reach out to us we are a 501c3 non-profit and able to offer a tax wright off for any donation being cash or a new home for the museum. Greetings everyone, due to a winter storm passing thru Amador County today our Model Railroad Museum will be closed all day today 4-12-26. We will be open both days Saturday and Sunday again next weekend 4-18/19-26 we look forward to seeing you all soon.

Our Museum is hosting our first Model train show/swap meet event at our museum, this is our flyer the event will be March 21st and 22nd 2026, the same weekend as Dandelion Day's event here in Jackson, CA. We hope to see you there.

New Years Eve Party at the Museum Tomorrow 12 noon to 12 Midnight. we will have Pizza, soda's, and cider. this event is for members and the public for all who wish to learn how to run trains on our layout we will be doing a Free-Mo op session for all who would like to run on our layout, This is the only time out of the year we allow public to run trains on our layout. If you have a DCC equipped locomotive and would like to run please bring it and any rolling stock you might have.
