This August, the Ancient Mariners embarked on their quadrennial trip to Basel, Switzerland to join their brother corps, the Swiss Mariners, for a week of fun, frivolity, and Fife & Drum! Amidst much music-making and merriment, the two groups presented a joint concert on August 6 at the Kunsteisbahn Margarethen. Members of both the Ancient and Swiss Mariners were instrumental in the founding of the Company of Fifers and Drummers and the development of the Museum.

Come see many photos and artifacts from the Mariner’s rich history at our Museum next Saturday, from 11:00am-3:00pm.

Registration is open for The Old Guard's 2026 Juniors Workshop! This exciting event will be held on Saturday October 24, 2026 at Joint Base Myer – Henderson Hall, concluding with a “Massed Bands” performance, a performance by The U.S. Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, and a jam session.

This event is perfect for young fifers and drummers between the ages of 8 and 18, offering a variety of group and individual activities. Space is limited, so attendees will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis.
