A lot has happened since I last posted here. As most of you know the B&B has been closed for about 2 years now. I miss that part of my life I loved it so. But taking care of mom and the risk of Covid was just to dangerous for her. This was the year for all big events for us. Mom did make it to 100 years, but her wish to be with dad and her family and friends was too much for her and so her wish to be with them was finally granted by Jesus on June 2 nd. I am having a time coping with my loss of her that I just can’t imagine. On the up side Melissa ( my daughter) and Shawn celebrated 25 years of marriage, Got to love him and I hit the big 70 years of age, and in a few weeks will be celebrating our 50 th anniversary with a ride on the Harley to the Jon Bennet tavern in Bedford. We did that on our 40th and was quite memorable considering it was 38 degrees! Hey isn’t 50 years for old people 😂 well we got married when we were 2 😂 have a great day all until next time!
Celebrating Mom’s Birthday week 100 years young
I haven't posted in a while. B&B is gone. That chapter in my life has closed. I spend my days taking care of mom who will be 100 in January and look forward to the fun moments I have day to day with my husband who never seems to disappoints. 2022 will be another whirlwind year with many adventures yet to come! Merry Christmas my friends.
Update: been awhile since I made a post here. Calls have been coming in constantly about our B&B. Would of been our best year ever. It was a wonderful 10 years of operation however the final decision was to close. I know that many are disappointed as are we. But Covid destroyed many. As far as ghost tours I have yet to make a decision on that. I will post in August about that.
Hi all, as some of you may know i have deleted my Larimer Mansion.com site. As some of you also know i have closed my B&B because of the covid outbreak. The state just will not give small businesses like myself a break. The tragedy of it all is 2020 would of been a great year for us. It was the 10th anniversary of the B&B, and the phone was ringing off the hook for bookings since most people did not want to stay in motels for fear of getting the virus. It broke my heart to turn people away, but my hands were tied. It is very sad not to be able at this time to open this beautiful place to the public. We had also ended out ghost tours in 2020, so to say the house was very quite is an understatement. Some of you may know my mom lives with us now, she just turned 99, she had a terrible accident here in December involving my Bell, mom ended breaking her hip (she is recovering nicely) how ever my best friend of 18 years...miss Bella Luna died. It has been a hard year and Larry and I both contracted covid while trying to help mom while she recuperated. Our Christmas miracle is that mom never contract the disease. Not sure how that was possible but it was. I guess God is taking hold of things for us. So in closing for now i will try to keep all of you informed of the happenings here. The Mansion keeps life interesting.
We have turned the calendar. Another year for the Larimer Mansion. All 231 years! Happy birthday Mansion!

important message
Ladies and gentlemen, this is not one you can afford to miss.
Hi yes it is me Lynne from the Larimer Mansion. We are all going thru some rough times right now. My B&B is now on hold and not a good feeling. Yet i am so blessed in so many ways. All i have to give is my Larimer Mansion cookbook. So I thought i can sell them and give the profits away to the food bank. I only make $4 per book but if i sell 100 books that's $400 to the food bank, surely we can do that. Cost of the books are $10 with shipping comes to $13.50. contact me if interested you can mail me a check to Larimer Mansion 50 Maus Drive North Huntingdon Pa.15642...we are also helping a small business printing our books and my 98 year old mom will help me stuff the envelopes ....please share this idea to your friends and family...thank you!
Maybe hope for our B&B yet, booked from October 23rd to November 1st. 2020
Because of the recent virus scare, we have decided not to accept anymore B&B bookings until September. As some of you may know we now have my 98 year old mom living with us, and i cannot take the chance with her health. we will continue to honor all gift certificates , and will let you know about our Sept/Oct bookings for ghost investigations in a few months. No we will not be having ghost tours this year. if you have any questions you can contact me here of call me at 7248639150. thank you
FYI: The Larimer Mansion Bed and Breakfast will no longer be accepting credit cards for our reservations. They are eating us up alive in bank fees to the point I would have to raise my rates. If you make a booking past a 10 day window we will hold your reservation for 10 days while you have the time to send a check or money order and a email will verify your reservation. if the booking is less than 10 days we will accept cash only. I know i take the chance of cancellations with out notifications but it is worth the risk. These banks are getting way out of hand. Thanks for understanding.
And just like that we are booked for Valentine's day, but we are open on the 15th if anyone wants to hug a ghost..lol
