Powerful black & white imagery by Hengki Koentjoro, taken at some of Christianity’s most sacred sites — the Holy Sepulcher, Mt. Tabor, the Mount of Beatitudes, and Gethsemane.

These places hold deep meaning: where Jesus was buried and resurrected, transfigured before his disciples, delivered the Sermon on the Mount, and prayed before his crucifixion.

With the passing of Pope Francis today, we’re reminded of the impact and legacy of faith — and how these places continue to resonate not just with Christianity, but with many religions including Judaism from around the world.
