As 2020 gets underway, we want to share an announcement about our space. For the past eight years, Fletcher Place Arts has served as a gathering place for art exhibits, events, meetings, and more. We have operated under the umbrella of Fletcher Place Church and are so grateful to them for allowing us to open the doors of 642 Virginia Avenue to our neighbors over and over again.
It was recently decided that the time has come for Fletcher Place Church to close. They will no longer need a physical space, and Fletcher Place Arts does not have the financial means to sustain itself independently. As of February 1, 2020, we will end our time as a community space.
Since we opened our doors in 2011, many new venues and exhibit spaces have popped up, with more planned for the future. We are so excited about these places that allow people to gather for discussion and artistic expression! The future of Indy’s arts and culture scene is bright. 🌟
We would not have been able to serve Indianapolis for so many years without friends, neighbors, nonprofit organizations, and arts groups. Please accept our sincerest thanks for your support of Fletcher Place Arts, whether you’ve been in the space one time or twenty times. We love Indy and know that the arts will continue to thrive here. Take care and keep doing the good work that you do! ❤️
