The Blue & Grey Book Shoppe specializes in Civil War, Local History and other American History books. We carry new, used, and rare books on a variety of topics including sewing, crafts, and quilting. Plus Maps, Gift Items, Fine Art, and now feature 18" doll clothes by B. We recently partnered with Art Squared, a group of local artists, and a portion of the sales will support the Robert E. Tindall

Scholarship which is administered by the Independence Art Association and awarded to a deserving local student to further their art education.

Wondering why I haven’t been showing what’s new in the shop? Me too! Here’s a couple Civil War related books: “We Gave Them Thunder” is about Marmaduke’s raid and the Civil War in Missouri and Arkansas. “The Eighteenth Missouri” is a story of military life at the regimental level in the 1860s.
