We are so excited to welcome the newest residents of our Tahoe Science Center!! These Lahontan cutthroat trout (LCT) join our efforts in educating both residents and visitors about all the amazing science and research being done in the Tahoe Basin. Thank you CA Dept. of Fish & Wildlife for the delivery and always partnering with us on our Trout in the Classroom programs.

The 2025 Lake Tahoe Clarity Report is here! 💙

The good news: Lake Tahoe’s clarity remains stable.

While we’re encouraged by that result, our team is focused on understanding why clarity isn’t improving.

The exciting part? We’re actively pursuing new lines of research to help answer that question. Using innovative technologies and cutting-edge techniques, scientists are working to unravel the complex factors influencing Tahoe’s famous blue waters.
