November's Friday Night Presentation will be a unique demonstration of the historic printing technique, Cyanotype, by the talented Ryan Pagett of . Ryan is a multi-media artist with southern roots, specializing in paint, printmaking, textiles & costuming, ceramics, analog & digital photography, and film. Originally an art educator by trade, he creates work with a focus on technique and process, constantly pushing himself to work in new and interesting ways.

He recently hosted a workshop at .pioneersmuseum to create our new Barbara Worth printed tote bags. They are currently for sale in the gift shop for $20. Come learn about the process and see him create prints in a live demonstration!

Blacksmithing classes are back in session! Join us this month, October 10 is with Cody & Jacob, October 11 with Betsy. These are small hands-on classes, 6:1 student to teacher ratio, and you will walk away with a finished piece. Simple hooks or decorative snails, for instance. Classes are designed for beginners and adaptable for more advanced students, too.

Join us for a presentation from local historical fashion enthusiast, Alanna Kruger, as she discusses women's fashion during Imperial County's first decade. Featuring extant antique clothing from private and museum collections.

A new skill is coming to Pioneers' Museum. We are excited to announce the immensely talented leatherworker, Bo Shropshire, will be hosting a workshop here on October 3. This hands-on lesson will teach you many skills and tools for working with leather. Make & take you own custom belt.

Tools, leather, and likely some very good storytelling will all be provided with the cost of class. All proceeds benefit the museum.
