PERSONAL ARTISTS STATEMENT

I am an Iowa native, the father of three inspiring children, a humanistic teacher and an artist/story teller who colors outside the lines that define our life. These dimensions of my life cannot be separated from the content of my art or my teaching philosophy and methodology. There is a union between my professional and personal life, which I share in hopes of stimulat

ing my student’s awareness of their environment and life experiences as content for their authentic art and even therapeutic recovery. I feel that this union is extremely important to show that I am a complete individual, and it gives me the strength to touch and elevate personal images of life.
