We're proud to celebrate the opening of the new Hutchinson YMCA and our partnership in creating a one-of-a-kind space-themed playscape for local families!

Designed in collaboration with the Cosmosphere and brought to life by Boss Display, this interactive climbing structure inspires children to explore, imagine, and stay active through the wonder of space exploration.

This project reflects a shared commitment between the YMCA and Cosmosphere to support youth development, STEAM education, and community engagement. We're honored to be part of a space where kids can learn, play, and dream big.

👨‍🚀 Artemis III has their astronauts!

Yesterday, our guests and campers watched in anticipation during our Artemis III Crew Announcement Watch Party as NASA announced the crew members and details for the upcoming Artemis III mission!

This event is another stepping stone towards greater lengths in space exploration. In the announcement NASA astronaut Randy Bresnik was named commander, ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Luca Parmitano was named pilot, both NASA astronaut Andre Douglas and NASA astronaut Frank Rubio will be the mission specialists, with NASA astronaut Bob Hines named as a backup crew member.

“Today we take another bold step in humanity’s return to the Moon, building on the extraordinary foundation laid by the Artemis II astronauts,” said NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman.

At the event Commander Randy Bresnik said, "The most important Artemis mission is always the next one." further showing their commitment to innovation and the dedication to the future.

🇺🇸 This D-Day anniversary, we remember and honor the brave veterans whose extraordinary courage and sacrifice changed the course of history and helped defend the cause of freedom around the world.

To commemorate the 82nd anniversary of D-Day on June 6th we will have three special feature documentaries in the Carey Digital Dome Theater.

Also showing in our Planetarium will be Saving Private Ryan, starring Tom Hanks and Matt Damon.
