That’s how we roll, pitch, and yaw at Cosmosphere Camps! Did you know Mercury astronauts used a Multi-Axis Trainer (MAT) called the Multiple Axis Space Test Inertia Facility (MASTIF), which could spin the astronaut on all three axes of flight (roll, pitch, yaw)? Our MAT spins on two axes but still gives Cosmosphere campers an idea of the rigors of astronaut training. It is one of several astronaut training simulators in camp. Take a spin and register your camper today at cosmocamps.org
Happy New Year from the Cosmosphere! We are open today—bring the family and celebrate the New Year with us! 🌎 🎉🥳
Apollo 8 Christmas Greeting
Happy 56th anniversary to Apollo 8! According to TV Guide, Apollo 8's Christmas Eve broadcast attracted an audience of about one billion people—roughly one out of every four people on the planet. We want to express our gratitude for your support of the Cosmosphere over the past year and hope that 2025 brings a sense of promise and peace to everyone who shares this "Good Earth." 🌎
Merry Christmas Eve from the Cosmosphere.
