Wheel and Cog: The name alludes to the role of the mechanical cog, one of the teeth on a wheel or gear that, by engaging other teeth, transmits or receives motion, much like the goal of the museum to engage the community in interactive and imaginative play through exhibits and learning opportunities. Admission is $6 per person over the age of 12 months.

Currently Open by Reservation Only

Individuals, families, and groups who’ve been anxiously waiting for a fun way to gather, play, or celebrate a birthday these past few months can organize a two hour block of time to have the entire museum to yourself and up to 25 family members or friends (up to 25 kids and 40 people maximum). The cost is $125 for 2 hours for members, and $150 for non-members. For those who’d like to split the cost with a few other friends, you’ll be able to play for 2 hours for as little as $5/person. Families who haven’t been able to vacation or host a birthday celebration until now can enjoy some much needed time out of the house, in a safe, clean environment. You decide who you want to share your reserved time with. We’ll be ready to welcome you.

We do anticipate our calendar to fill up with reservations quite quickly, based on the feedback we’ve received. The process will be to fill out a simple form on our website letting us know the two-hour time block you’d like to reserve. There is payment due until your reservation is confirmed. We will check previous reservations, staff, and museum availability and get back to you. If we confirm your reservation, we’ll email you with a date and time, along with a link to pay online.
