I will now be creating art and signs in my little off grid cabin in the heart of the Ozarks. COZ Art is the culmination of my lifelong passion with art and my hometown of Cortez (COZ) and the surrounding barrier islands. Life on the coast has shaped my views, my artistic interests and my life. I have supported myself primarily through artistic endeavors my whole life, but the decision to devote my
life exclusively to art has been long overdue. I have been a sign maker since the age of 17, teaching myself the once-apprenticed trade of hand lettering. I have worked as a scenic artist, freelance illustrator and muralist. The materials and techniques I use in my sculpture (primarily surfboard foam and fiberglass) reflect my heritage and are skills I learned patching boats with my dad as a kid. I am thoroughly enjoying bringing all these aspects together to create and do my small part to make the world a more beautiful place. Thank you for allowing me to share it with you!
