Thrifted a used bed sheet and used it for the painting surface. I love the act of finding materials that have character and a story to them, also a nice surprise was the paint was very unpredictable, just like my sleep quality.

I wanted to paint this image of Alex Pretti confronting a masked federal agent. I took a frame and made it look judicial, thinking about how he was killed in broad daylight on a cold day in Minneapolis.

I haven’t painted in a couple months, just haven’t been feeling it lately, but then out of the blue I wanted to paint a portrait without a care for proportions, mixing color, just something abstract and straight from my mind. And I’m really happy with the way it turned out.
