Just received the printed proof of "Slaves Along the Bayou". I randomly opened the book and took a photo of the entry for Amos E-00058. Hopefully, these photos may give the followers of BHC a glimpse of the important information contained in this Book on over 1,200 people. This is not a work of fiction. The printing should be complete within the next week or so.

American Legion Post 38
Nicholson – Baton Rouge, LA
October 3rd – 5th, 1921
A photo of what is believed to be the Founding or Early Members of the American Legion Nicholson Post 38 of Baton Rouge, LA. The site of the photo is believed to be Victory Park located between Laurel Street on the left and Florida Blvd on the right approximately where the District Court House is located today. The Post was named after James William Nicholson, a brilliant mathematician and long-time Professor at LSU. The Post later acquired the Warden’s House located at 701 Laurel Street before moving to its present location on Woodale Blvd.

In anticipation of the upcoming release of "Slaves Along the Bayou" by Patty A. Whitney, I think it is appropriate that BHC make a clear and unequivocal statement of position on the subject. In the process of serving as Editor and Publisher for this book, it has become very evident that the historical facts contained therein not only be preserved and but widely disseminated.

Don't you just love Rembrandt! Not only did he put himself in the same boat as Jesus and the other 12 scared disciples, he also placed a 14th poor soul (maybe from South Louisiana or maybe an art thief) in the hole of the boat.

On March 18, 1990 two thieves disguised as policemen entered the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston and walked out with 13 pieces of priceless art including "Christ in the Storm on the Sea of Galilee" by Rembrant van Rijn from1633. This painting brings to life the story recounted in Matthew 8:23-27. It is my favorite work of art, and I have a replica on my wall. The original and the other pieces have not been recovered. If any of our followers located in Louisiana or in other place around the country or world know where these pieces are located, please ask the holders to drop these pieces at any public library or public building before they are lost to time. There may still be time to plea bargain for your soul.
