📣Attention all quilters! 📣

Do you have a quilt you would like to show off? We invite all quiltmakers, quilt owners, and quilt enthusiasts to the museum’s Quilt Show… And Tell!

Saturday, May 16, bring one of your favorite pieces and share its story while patrons browse our ongoing quilt show, featuring a variety of quilts from the museum’s own collection.

Community quilts will be displayed for one day only from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., with tables set up throughout the museum for you to set up your display. Free admission to all who bring a quilt!

We welcome handmade quilts, family heirlooms, thrift store finds, and everything in between! If you have an interesting quilt on your hands, we invite you to bring it to the museum for the day and be part of our quilt show!

You still have a month left to catch the museum's Quilt Show! In addition to our main exhibit area, we have quilts tucked away all over the museum - as well as a few quilting books from bell hooks' personal collection for the community to peruse!

Stay tuned for more quilt-related events, like our upcoming Quilt Show... and Tell! And a HUGE thank you to our museum members who came out to our special exhibit opening in April!

Our beautiful quilts will be on display through Saturday, May 30.

If you'll be at the Hopkinsville-Christian County Downtown Farmers Market tomorrow morning for their opening day, take a stroll down Ninth Street and pop by the museum! We'll be open from 10am - 4pm!

In true springtime spirit, support local agriculture and grab some local honey as well - just like these Christian County beekeepers would have produced!

It's been a busy month at the museum! Earlier this month, we held another Supper Club event with former chef Matthew Brown, celebrating international food and stories from the people who immigrated to Christian County.

We also hosted the Newcomers & Neighbors Club and Leadership Christian County, and had a wonderful time meeting and speaking with the members of our community!

April isn't over just yet - our Quilt Show opens next week with a special members-only reception! Stay tuned...

Are you ready for another Supper Club? Join us at the museum Thursday, April 9 with former chef Matthew Brown for an evening of international dishes and the stories of the immigrants who brought them to Christian County.

This Supper Club is inspired by a series the Kentucky New Era ran in 1934, titled “Our Foreign Born Citizens.” The series featured 29 individuals (representing 22 different cultures) who had immigrated to Christian County from around the world. Museum Director Alissa Keller will share their stories while Brown prepares dishes inspired by their cultures.
