05/06/2022

In most months, the Little Red Shop Museum is open on the 1st and 3rd Sunday. A change to the Wednesday evening schedule was proposed at last evening's Historical Commission meeting.

The Hopedale Historical Commission voted to support the recommendation, by the Museum's Volunteer Curator and volunteer staff, that the Museum should be open to the public every Wednesday evening, from 6 - 8 pm., until further notice.

In accordance with this scheduling change, the Commission voted to move its monthly meetings to the first Thursday of each month, beginning with June 2022. Meetings will still begin at 7 p.m. and continue to be held at the Little Red Shop Museum, located at 12 Hopedale Street.

Additionally, the Commission voted that, going forward, a regular monthly meeting will no longer be held in the month of July each year.

The Historical Commission, and all-volunteer staff at the Museum, truly appreciate the continued support from the citizens of Hopedale, surrounding communities, and beyond. We continue to work towards "preserving our history together."

We are very proud that The Little Red Shop Museum is one of only two sights in Massachusetts that helps to form the bi-state Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park that was signed into legislation in December 2014.

The Hopedale Fairy Walk is such a special communty event on so many levels. The experience is often multi-generational . . . sisters and brothers, parents, and grandparents. Guests are able to explore Hopedale's beautiful Parklands, host that day to many unique fairy houses and magical fairies. There is always much excitement, joy, and precious memories to be had by all.

Consider making a fairy house for all to see and enjoy. Individuals, families, groups, and businesses, who participate in this community event, make it all possible by sharing their unique creations.

Please consider helping to make memorable moments for fairy house builders and guests as they venture forth on this magical journey.
