Boy oh boy… even three years later, this is still hard to talk about. ❤️🩹
We went from one of the biggest highs of our lives… to watching our dream go up in flames. Literally.
In 2022, we opened the Ruby Mazur Gallery in Waikiki.
And what a first year we had.
The gallery did amazing, and after that incredible year, we decided it was finally time to follow a dream we’d had for years:
Front Street. Lahaina. Maui. ❤️
We found the perfect location.
We packed up our entire Waikiki gallery and moved everything to Lahaina, including more than 120 pieces of artwork.
We remodeled the new gallery, painted it, rebuilt it and poured everything we had into getting it ready.
Opening day was August 8, 2023.
And on the very day we were supposed to open those doors…
it all went up in flames.
The gallery. The artwork. The work. The dream.
Gone.
From such an incredible high to such a devastating low.
But as painful as our loss was, we were only one of thousands of stories that day.
People lost their businesses.
Families lost their homes.
Some lost everything they owned.
And, most heartbreaking of all, people lost family members and friends.
That’s why, three years later, we don’t just want to remember what happened.
We want to help Maui rebuild. Especially Lahaina and the people directly affected by the fires.
Lahaina gave so much to so many people over the years. Now it’s our turn to give something back.
Every little bit matters. Every person who helps matters. And every dollar that goes back into this community can help another family or local business take one more step forward.
That’s why we want to give back to Maui, the community, fire victims and all those affected.
We are currently giving a $500 discount on purchases and will be donating to 25% of each purchase.
We can’t change what happened on August 8, 2023.
But together, we can be part of what happens next. ❤️
For Lahaina.
For Maui.
For every family still rebuilding.
Lahaina Strong. Always. 🌺❤️
