Reality vs. a drawing!
The fan of this pattern, No. 50, is clear and easy to see but slightly placed differently on the Covered Jar With Sterling Silver Top than on the tumbler line drawing. This could be because of the difference in shape or artist discretion. The Sterling Silver Top is engraved with a monogram and was a gift of Janet LaBar Rodgers, in memory of Francis S. LaBar.

Reality vs. a drawing!
This beautiful Vase in pattern CHESTER appears to have much more design than the line drawing shows but because of the narrower shape than the carafe the design gets 'crunched up' into a tighter design with closer cuts.
The Vase was a gift of the Caplin Family & the mid-Atlantic Chapter of the American Cut Glass Assoc. in memory of Charles K. Chaplin.

Open Wednesday-Saturday 10am-4pm and Sundays 1-4pm.

Reality vs. a drawing!
When looking at the line drawing of a Bon Bon next to the Bowl stood up on a stand, it is easy to see the design, but when the Bowl is sitting properly on its base, the design in the bottom becomes obscured and the sides more visible. This is not portrayed in the drawing and can appear as a flat piece.
Shown is a pair of Bowls in SULTANA pattern, from the collection of June Dorflinger Hardy.
