Dorflinger Glass Museum The Dorflinger Glass Museum sits on the grounds of the Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary.

The museum is home to one of the nation’s largest collections of American brilliant-cut Dorflinger glass. The museum is home to one of the nation’s largest collections of American brilliant-cut Dorflinger glass, all displayed in the historic home of Christian Dorflinger, founder of the Dorflinger Glassworks. Visitors can explore more than 1,000 pieces of cut, engraved, etched, gilded, and enameled Dorflinger crystal and glass. Be sure to stop by the Dorflinger Glass Museum Gift Shop, which features two rooms of American-made glass giftware, jewelry, and much more.

Light up your world with these adorable mushroom nightlights. The hand blown mushroom tops are all different with a recycled bottle top as the stem. Each one is individual and unique and comes with a LED lit, wooden base powered by a USB plug with an easy on-off switch.

Reality vs. a drawing!
The same vase in pattern MONTROSE...almost! The line drawing appears so simple with a more complex center design. The real piece is laid out a bit differently having a vertical pattern vs. a more horizontal, wrapping one. This is a great example of a pattern being represented in different ways which can sometimes attribute to the difficulty in identifying a pattern.
This piece is particularly beautiful being Green cut to clear. What does that mean? It means the hand-blown lead crystal vase has a thin outer layer of green glass fused over a clear (colorless) crystal base, and a craftsman uses stone or metal wheels to grind and cut away parts of the green layer to reveal the clear glass underneath creating this colorful, dimensional piece.
The vase was a Gift of New Bedford Glass Society.

Jewelry! Nature! Handmade! Recycled materials! What more are you looking for? NETTLES JEWELRY is handmade in Oregon using recycled windowpanes, and solder work created by copper foil stained glass technique using lead-free silver alloy solder for high shine and safe handling. Each piece of glass is cut to size, original art collage is sandwiched between two layers of glass, copper foiled together, solder, finish, and hand polished to a shine. And as a bonus, each piece is reversible! That's like getting two pieces in one!

Reality vs. a drawing!
The line drawing is of a punch cup and plate but the cup is very similar to the top of the goblet minus the cut edge... which would be terrible to drink out of. The round dish is the most similar to the plate of the drawing without seeing the center of the drawing.
The Goblet show here is in pattern PARISIAN and is one of a set of four that were a gift of Mrs. Frederick H Kingsbury Jr.
The Round Dish in pattern PARISIAN is from the collection of Jane Beers.
On the goblet, you can see a letter and numbers on the bottom of the curve of the goblet. This is our inventory system for keeping track of pieces. In our records, this little number tells us all about the piece.

Reality vs. a drawing!
The only difference between the drawing and the actual piece is that the flower globe continues to curve upwards where the drawing stops. Sometimes the drawing is helpful to see the intricacy of the cuts as they appear to get camouflaged in the real piece.
This Flower Globe in pattern DIXIE was a gift of Trudy Westgate Boas in honor of Arnold M. Westgate.
