The Ford Museum received a 2026 Cultural Cares grant from the Louisiana Endowment of the Humanities. The funding for this grant will go to pay the Museum's liability insurance and a portion of staff salaries. This kind of grant is very helpful in daily budgeting.

Tomorrow is the day! Saturday, August 15, 11:00 at the Ford Museum! We will host Mark Brink and David Griffining from the Poverty Point World Heritage Site. Both men have spent years studying the Poverty Point Site and are experts on identifying stone artifacts. So bring your unknown "finds" and see if they can be identified.

Please bring any artifacts you would like identified by Poverty Point Site Manager, Mark Brink and David Griffing, Park Ranger. Both are experienced in artifact identification. The Ford Museum has received a Louisiana Culture Care Fund grant from the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities. This funding will help the Museum insure the safety of its members and guests who visit the Museum. It will also support essential day-to-day operations. With this grant and the support of our members, the Museum can continue serving the community and strengthening its ongoing work.
