Did you know that ferns 🌱have existed for over 360 million years?! I’m in awe over this resilience. I’ve been adding ferns to my larger pieces but I thought it would be enjoyable to paint 🎨 some individual pieces to truly appreciate their form and tiny details. These are acrylic on paper and I just love them together as a set! Do you grow ferns in your garden?🪏

Did you know 4 leaf clovers 🍀 grow 1 in 5000?! I just love their simple shaped sweet faces but I’ve yet to find one! Have you been lucky enough to find one and if so, how did you preserve it? This is a little four leaf clover metal coin I painted that you’ll find if you look closely at my “Oh For Keepsake” wallpaper pattern which is filled with trinkets, treasures and collectibles. ⏱️📿🧿🗝️🪭

This piece is filled with details and rich colors that can only be appreciated in person and up close 🔎 Unfortunately this piece is cropped for Instagram! It’s actually a longer horizontal piece! Take a peek 👀 into my studio and all that’s currently happening in here! It’s messy but things are happening!!! I feel strange to me if there aren’t multiple pieces in the works at a time. This approach is great for changing moods, pockets of time available and of course inspiration! 🎨

NEW painting 🖼️ 🎉 “Beauty and the Bee” 🐝 🦋 Can you spy the frog? Something simple this time but full of life and details. The star of this piece is the gigantic Cecropia moth which native to North America. Its wingspan reaches an impressive 7”. Have you ever seen one where you live? I’m hoping one day I will!!!

Petals on petals on petals—painted one by one, because repetition can be strangely satisfying don’t you think? I admit I thought these flowers wouldn’t take so long to render but once I got in the zone you couldn’t stop me! 🎵 🖌️ 🔍

“Food for Thought” makes its debut at the Rehoboth Art League this Friday the 13th, alongside 20 other new pieces, and runs through March 8th. I invite you to come take a closer look 👀 The show is called “All Things Flight and Beautiful”
