Who is Field Colony?
Located at 10th and Bloomfield, Field Colony is a center for the arts that provides coworking, open studio space, artist residencies, and classes in the arts as a place for Hoboken’s creatives and entrepreneurs to work, learn, and inspire.
We recognized the need to support our arts community and local New Jersey artists. The concept of the venue was to bring together people from different fields into one space to enable new collaborations and to build a venue and destination welcome of new thoughts and ideas.
Field Colony held its first art exhibition in mid December 2017 featuring works by prominent and emerging Hoboken artists. The gallery followed with a solo exhibit by Walter John Rodriguez, a group show for the Stevens School of Visual Arts & Technology’s senior projects, a group show featuring four prominent artists from Mana Contemporary in Jersey City, a two-person exhibit showing the art works of Jeankarlos Cruz and Aaron Boucher, and is currently exhibiting the artworks of Ken Meads, a local Hoboken contemporary artist who recently passed and hadn’t shown his extraordinary paintings in three decades.
We are also proud to announce the partnership between Field Colony and Project Studios.
