❤️ COMMUNITY IS BOTH A NOUN AND A VERB. ❤️
The General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible community of Hobart and the surrounding areas for the exceptional response during the Foss Water Reservoir outage.
In times of uncertainty and challenge, we are reminded of what community truly means. Community is a noun—the people, families, businesses, and neighbors who call this place home. But community is also a verb—the act of showing up, lending a hand, checking on a neighbor, sharing resources, and putting compassion into action.
Over the past several days, we have witnessed the very best of what happens when citizens help citizens….Neighbors supporting neighbors. Businesses stepping up. Volunteers giving their time. And individuals coming together to make a difficult situation a little easier for someone else.
That is leadership in action. That is the spirit of service. And that is what makes a community strong.
To everyone who offered assistance, shared information, provided resources, or simply looked out for someone in need: Thank you. Your kindness, resilience, and willingness to serve have not gone unnoticed.
We are proud to be part of a community that understands that leadership isn't always found in a title or position. Sometimes, it's found in a bottle of water delivered to a neighbor, a helping hand extended to a stranger, or a simple question: "How can I help?"
🇺🇸 MUSEUM & OFFICE ANNOUNCEMENT 🇺🇸
The General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum will resume regular business hours on Monday, September 28.
We look forward to welcoming our community back and continuing our mission of inspiring leadership, patriotism, and service.
Thank you, Hobart, and the surrounding communities, for reminding us that when we come together, we are stronger.
Community isn't just where we live. It's what we do for one another.
