The 90-foot, red-and-white striped tower of the Harbour Town Lighthouse on Hilton Head Island is the visual centerpiece of the popular Sea Pines, located in Hilton Head South Carolina. Completed in 1970, this was the first privately financed lighthouse to be built since the early 1800s. Visitors who climb the lighthouse steps will find an excellent spot from which to view Hilton Head Island. Aside from the marvelous view of Harbour Town and Hilton Head Island, visitors are treated to The Shop At The Top – a wonderful Hilton Head shopping experience. Every light on this coast exists to help someone find their way through the dark. Tomorrow, our neighbors across the bridge are doing the same thing.

"Let's Talk Cancer," the 3rd Annual Cancer Forum in Bluffton, brings oncology specialists from MUSC Hollings Cancer Center (South Carolina's only NCI-designated cancer center) to the Lowcountry for a free afternoon of straight answers.

On the agenda: cancer research, clinical trials and treatments, AI in medicine, how to get a free DNA testing kit from MUSC, and an update on the new MUSC Medical Pavilion in Bluffton and the $1.1 billion cancer center coming to Charleston.

Author Ray Marie is coming to Harbour Town to read *Bentley Goes To The Apple Orchard* — and to sign copies for our littlest explorers. From the top of our 114 steps you can see all the way across Calibogue Sound, and that morning there will be apples hidden along the climb.

What's in store:
