As of a few weeks ago we have a "new" car on display in the Franklin Automobile Collection at Hickory Corners.

The beautiful 1930 Series 147 Salon Special donated to the Collection by John A Giltinan of Palm City, Florida.

The ex Bob Kern ex Frank Gardner Custom Touring Car has left the building.

New owner Dwayne Carter from Iowa and his sons picked the car up this chilly morning and are headed home with it.

Ready to go at the Gilmore Car Museum for tonight's Cruise In.

Have the 1910 Franklin Model H out from the Franklin Automobile Collection at Hickory Corners to fulfil our mission of educating the public about Franklin cars.

It's a great night - could be up to 1,000 cars turn up.

I'll add some pictures of the cars later.

Two weeks ago the Franklin Automobile Collection at Hickory Corners received the 1910 Model H Custom Touring car formerly owned by Peter Kunan and then Bob Barrett. It was recently donated to the collection by Sam and Emily Mann.

Here's a link to a web page about the car that contains some of the information we know about the car from its original owner and the trip the car took to Europe in 1911, through to its 11 appearances at the Franklin Trek up to 2010.

This will get occasionally updated as more information is compiled.
