Pictured here is the man who dominated beach volleyball in the late 1970s and early 1980s Jim Menges. Nicknamed Mingo, he was a tenacious competitor, great defender, sideout machine and a favorite with the ladies. We’ll be honoring Jim at this years beach volleyball hall of fame Saturday evening November 2nd along with 3 time Olympic Gold Medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings and Phil Stutzel.

Hey Everyone,

This year’s Beach Volleyball Hall of Fame Induction ceremony is Saturday November 2nd.

We’ll be inducting an amazing class starting with 3-time Olympic Gold Medalist and the all-time women’s tournament open winner with 135 wins Kerri Walsh Jennings pictured here. Next up is Jim Menges who dominated beach volleyball in the late 1970s with 48 open wins and a record 13 straight tournament wins with partner Greg Lee in 1975. Finally, a man who has contributed as much time as any to the sport of beach volleyball starting back in the 1970s, former CBVA president and CBVA tournament director Phil Stutzel. We’ll also have a Q&A panel with 4 beach volleyball Legends before the ceremony.

So, mark your Calendar for Saturday November 2nd for Beach volleyballs greatest reunion.
Social hour starts at 5:00pm, Q&A starts 6:00pm and the ceremony starts at 7:00pm
Should be a fun and entertaining night!
