🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day from the Lincoln County Pioneer Museum! 🇺🇸

Today we honor the Stars and Stripes—the enduring symbol of our nation’s history, sacrifices, and ideals. Since its adoption by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1777, the American flag has flown over battlefields, schools, farms, small towns, and communities like ours here in Lincoln County.

Each flag tells a story. It represents the men and women who served, the pioneers who built our communities, and the generations who worked to leave a better future for those who followed.

At the Lincoln County Pioneer Museum, we are proud to preserve the stories of local veterans, families, and communities whose lives were shaped under the same flag we honor today.

As we celebrate Flag Day—and our nation’s 250th anniversary approaching in 2026—we invite you to reflect on the history, service, and shared heritage that unite us all.

From Home to Legacy, each stop reveals another piece of Lincoln County’s story.

As we reflect on 250 years of American History, one thing many of us may not consider is how we get our clothes and other fabrics.

The Pioneer Museum holds a loom that was built in 1880. And was still used till it was donated in the 1990’s. Our display showcases nearly everything but the sheep! From carding the wool, to spinning on a wheel, to the loom itself.

This Saturday is our second Featured Activity for our Junior Pioneer Passport! With a donation, your child can learn about this old trade and take home their very own project loom!
