Jex Backstory Corner! This is from the original publication of ‘Paw Paw O.G.’ in HammerDown #6 and #7, in 1991. I dropped off the concept inks to K. L. and Judi at the mag office a month earlier. They were intended as a promo for WTZR Z-Rock FM out of Virginia Beach, Virginia. I deployed with the Navy fleet right after to Desert Shield. Little did I know until much, much later, right at publication, the ‘sad’ article with my inks that Z-Rock closed shop! It took me all these years to find out there are still Z-Rock affiliates out there…still Rockin’! Unlock Your Rock!

Rock Crusader POV! Every now and then I break out my Complete History of The Who (with the original ‘flexdisc’ LP singles,) published in ‘82. I love to revive the ‘back in the day’ feeling from the band that rode the crest of the ‘Pop Art’ wave! The days before music streaming when you actually put a plastic disc on a ‘turntable’ and put a needle in a groove and disappeared into the scratchy noise it made! Unlock YOUR Rock!

Rolling Bones # 6: All in the Bones! I think I’m going to have a serious talk with Jex, he makes total, utter chaos look completely ‘Normal’…you know, like the government! Thanks to the West Coast Z Rock out of Chico! They supplied most of the Rock Rhythm Code for the Spirit Commune and Finishing of this pen and ink! Unlock YOUR Rock!

Went back into the archives and ‘re-vamped’ Paw Paw ‘O.G.’ Into three versions! With the JRA, the ‘OP Art’ JRA, and a plug for the West Coast Clan from Z-Rock 106.7! I pick up their mobile app and now I’m HOOKED! Unlock YOUR Rock!
